Applying for finance can incur fees and expenses. These can include legal costs, valuation fees and lender loan application fees. In most instances I will not charge you an advice fee as most lenders will pay me a commission following your loan settlement. Commission does not influence the advice I provide you as I always put your interests first. In the rare instance I need to charge an advice fee this will be agreed up-front and in writing so there are no surprises.

As part of assessing my clients needs I might refer them to a Risk specialist for which the insurance adviser may pay me a referral fee. Often this fee is nothing, but it can be up to 30% of the commission the insurance adviser receives. To ensure I prioritise my clients’ interests I follow a robust 6 step advice process that ensures my recommendations & and referrals are made appropriately & based on clients’ goals and needs. These are tracked on a register and are monitored regularly to ensure that any potential conflicts are identified and managed.
